SWMS for Employees
Often Safe Work Method Statements are written in a way that meets the employer's legal responsibilities and requirements, but what of the employee? Who will be the person that will be utilising the procedure on a day-to-day level?
An easy to read SWMs that is targeted, not too lengthy and simply written, is an effective means of managing risk and implementing control measures from the ground level upwards. Understanding an employees time constraints is an important factor in managing any workplace safety procedure.
An effective SWMS identifies with the person who will most likely be implementing the process. By doing this safety responsibility is shared and actioned rather than monitored.
